National Conference delegates (men) elections 2026

Candidates statements (candidates listed alphabetically by surname)

Mike Mitchell

My motivation  is to share developments taking place in different countries. to keep members informed and provide regular updates as needed to our members. I am a member of the USA Minnesota AFl-CIO and active in supporting local union campaigns for progressive legislation. I retain contacts in the UK and when visiting attend Labour meetings and conferences,
My membership of the Labour Party began on Merseyside with the UK transport and General  Workers Union when I was elected as a shop steward at the age of eighteen to represent a group of women factory workers. I have also been a member of ASTMS and Unite.  I have been a member of a construction worker union, a shop steward for government workers and a Department of Education labour liaison officer.
As Branch Secretary of the Labour International of the America’s I have established relations with USA union representatives on presentations for Labour International members.   If my nomination is successful, I will continue to liaise with my union contacts on local and international issues of common interest in a global world that requires. union cooperation and shared experiences.

Hector Muller

As a newly elected Youth officer I see my attendance to the Labour Party conference as a crucial first step in delivering my plan to rebuild connections with the UK labour party and revitalise our youth branch.
By attending the conference this will give the branch a chance for me to rekindle ties with contacts in Labour London, Labour North as well as forge strong relationships with Labour UK in a broader sense; an essential step to deliver on my promises for more youth events and an in person event in June of 2027.
In my view this will set the stage for discussion, collaboration as well as truly show that we are back as a forward thinking and dynamic Labour branch with our youth section part of a plan for renewal.
Furthermore, the conference would be in my mind a key moment for me to show the branch has returned in vitality by physically being in Liverpool as well as presenting my plan to rebuild our youth section.
On a more personal note, I also see the conference in Liverpool as a chance to learn and grow by having hands-on experience at a crucial Labour event which ties into long term aims and commitment to revitalising the branch’s youth section.

Andreas Quelle

I have attended the annual conference the times as a normal member.
I took part in almost every session of the main hall, and I was very impressed by all the speeches. As I was not allowed to listen personally to the leaders speech, as just s ordinary member, I would like to be a official and registered, registered in the mandatory time frame, delegate this time. So I can listen to all and can also take more use of the rights as a speaker too.

Boyd Stephen

As a committed LI member, I am standing to serve again as a delegate to Labour Party Conference, building on my experience from last year.
My roles as CLP Vice Chair and CENE Branch Secretary demonstrate that I take on responsibility and deliver for LI. These positions have given me a strong understanding of our CLP’s interests, and how they can be advanced at Conference.
Having attended Conference as a delegate last year, I return with practical knowledge of how to engage effectively, including an understanding of how debates and ballots are organised at
Conference. Due to the multitude of internal elections being held this year, I believe it to be important to have delegates who understand this process.
Issues that are particularly pertinent in the lives of LI members are often neglected within the Party more broadly. These include International MPs and compliance with the EU Withdrawal Agreement. I am passionate about emphasising the importance of such issues at Conference, so LI members receive the representation they deserve.
I am organised, engaged, and ready to serve. I would be honoured to represent LI members at Conference once again and amplify LI’s presence within the Party.

For the avoidance of doubt there will be no vote for women delegates as the exact number of required nominations was received; therefore, the candidates are automatically elected.
