At a time when Europe faces rising geopolitical tension, democratic fragility, and the mounting human and economic costs of unresolved conflicts, the idea of a European Peace Agency has never been more urgent. This talk presents a bold, forward-looking proposal for a treaty‑based, non‑military, professional peacebuilding institution, modelled on the scientific cooperation of the European Space Agency, and dedicated to preventing, mediating, and transforming conflicts across Europe and its neighbouring regions. Drawing on a quarter‑century of peace research, diplomacy, education, and intercultural work, Dr Thomas Clough Daffern, founder‑director of the International Institute of Peace Studies and Global Philosophy, will outline why the EPA is an idea whose time has surely come, and how Labour members—wherever in the world they reside—can help champion a transformative new architecture for Europe’s peace and security future. see https://allmylinks.com/thomas-clough-daffern for more details
